Courtney grew up in the outskirts of Brisbane collecting dead beetles, dressing up as Ursula from “The Little Mermaid” and drawing pink unicorns and prehistoric birds. She graduated with a degree in interior design from Brisbane's Queensland University of Technology before becoming a fulltime illustrator in 2008. Since then she has had solo shows in Los Angeles, Brisbane and Sydney as well as numerous group shows across Australia and the UK.
Courtney's work explores her curiosity with the natural world, often illustrating the interplay between prey and predator and their survival through adaptation and metamorphosis. She has had her work featured in Semi-Permanent, Yen Magazine, Gestalten's The Beautiful Book, Down Under: Worldwide Graphic Design, Kingbrown Magazine, Frankie, Curvy, Empty and Monster Children Magazine.
